I offer English-speaking computer repair and IT help to residents and second-home owners across Loir-et-Cher and Indre with their PCs and Macs, at home or in my workshop, and I take the time to explain everything clearly.

50% French tax credit on home IT support
Geoffrey Informatique is approved for « Services à la personne ». If you are a French tax resident, 50% of what you pay for IT support at your home is returned to you as a tax credit, even if you pay no income tax (up to €3,000 of expenses per year and per household). More details (in French).

Frequently asked questions
Can we communicate in English?
Yes. That is the whole point of my English-speaking computer repair service: you can call, text or email me in English, and I will explain what I am doing in plain English, without jargon.
Which areas do you cover?
I mainly work within 25 km of my workshop in Billy (41130): Selles-sur-Cher, Saint-Aignan, Romorantin-Lanthenay, Contres, Valençay, Chabris, Noyers-sur-Cher and the surrounding villages, and up to about 40 km depending on availability. Full list of towns.
Do you repair phones or tablets?
No. I only work on computers (Windows PCs and Macs), printers, internet boxes and Wi-Fi networks.
How quickly can you come?
Usually within 24 to 48 hours on weekdays, depending on availability. My workshop in Billy is open by appointment only.
How do I claim the 50% tax credit?
At the beginning of each year I send you a tax certificate (attestation fiscale) summarising what you paid for home services. You then declare the amount on your French income tax return (box 7DB).
